Traveling team play will begin at the conclusion of the youth basketball season and is available to any player that feels they are capable of contributing to their team. Traveling teams are a very important part to the progression of a Laker basketball player and our program. Playing at this level requires advanced player development as teams will be participating in weekend tournaments vs Central Minnesota competition. Teams will practice 1 – 2 times per week and participate in 4-6 weekend tournaments. Coaches will focus on individual fundamentals, and advanced offensive /defensive team strategies. Participation requires a commitment to your team as participants should be available for all practices and tournaments. Traveling players must participate in the Youth Basketball Program to be eligible to participate. Traveling coaches will follow the lead of the Laker Varsity Coaching staff and will be taught Laker Boys’ Basketball drills, strategies and terminology.
